My son is having a baby. When you first find out it seems like a LONG time until all of those months can go by.....how can I possibly wait until February? Well, now it is getting so close that I am not ready. I have so many things that I wanted to do before he arrived. I need to put Casey's baby bed together and make new bedding. Everything back in my kids' babyhood was yellow or green because we didn't know the sex of the baby until after he or she was born. These days you can barely find anything yellow or green.

java in the library
I've been reading some more about serving coffee in the library. I have done it before, like during a book fair, and it was fun. I lost money. Well, I spent money supplies and then "sold" coffee for 25 cents a cup......I am ready to try again.

It's almost spring
As soon as Valentine's Day is over, I look forward to Spring. The stores have shamrocks, spring break is within reach on the calendar, and I am counting down the days until the first ride on the lawn mower. I love to mow. But I do not love machine maintenance, edging Green Avenue, trying to keep the Bermuda grass out of the shrubs, 102 degree sunny days that force me to water the lawn while feeling guilty about using too much water, and weeds. So, do I look forward to Spring or want to hang on to the end of Winter? Both. One cannot be fully appreciated without the other. Contrast=diversity=beauty=life.
